Forsyth County Library Workshop

Sketchbooks in transit

Two sketchbooks have been started one called ‘Connections‘ to visually respond to all things that connect for example journeys, infrastructure, interaction between people. Finally arrived in Winston Salem

After three hrs on the tarmac at Heathrow, one missed connection, two broken planes, seven hr delay, another one and half hours on the tarmac we take off in a storm like no other. Arrived in Greensboro found luggage, get taxi and arrive at hotel, tired 30 hours on but relieved.

Bags are packed – off to Winston Salem, US

Forsyth County Library in Winston Salem have been running a similar project called ‘Leave Your Mark’ since 2009 which was inspired by Visual Libraries.
Our trip to Winston Salem will enable us to find out how we can collaborate and take Visual Libraries forward.
